Solo Show Was a Great Success

My solo show at the Art League of Alexandria Gallery ended January 6th. Attendance was great. Conversations about art in general and my paintings specifically were fun and worthwhile.

The gallery has reported to me that sales of the paintings was by far the largest in their long history with nearly two-thirds sold. As you will see on this site, Giclee prints of them are now available here.

The show opens December 6th, 2018 and runs through January 4th, 2019. Twenty-three paintings will be on display, all inspired by revisiting sites I’ve known for a very long time as a native Washingtonian.

Please join me for the opening reception, December 13th, from 6:30 to 8pm, at the Torpedo Factory, 105 North Union Street, Alexandria, VA. Two parking garages are within a block of the site.

Milton Shinberg's work was juried and selected through a review by three judges for the 2018 Art League of Alexandria solo show calendar.  Five works and a proposal were submitted.  The focus of the show will be "where the earth meets the sky."  A second review next August will be an opportunity for the same judges to offer advice on how the artwork is progressing along that theme and to further encourage each of the solo show awardees to continue growing as artists as the show time approaches.

The show date will be posted when it has been scheduled by the Art League Gallery.
